CONFERENCE REPORT OF WCET & WEFB 2024
The World Conference on Education and Training (WCET-2024) and Symposium on World Economics, Finance and Business (WEFB-2024), which took place at InterContinental Singapore during Jul. 24th-27th in a hybrid format have come to an end.
The two conferences were hosted by LMSII, and operated by Amazing Congress Co. LTD and VOW Congress Inc. There were 140+ renowned guests from 33 countries who gave moving speeches, such as Dr. Karen Keifer-Boyd, Professor of Art Education and Women’s, Gender, & Sexuality Studies, The Pennsylvania State University, USA; Dr. Omolabake Fakunle, Director of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, The University of Edinburgh, UK; Dr. John Fischetti, Pro Vice-Chancellor, Human and Social Futures, The University of Newcastle, Australia; Prof. Michel Ricard, UNESCO Chair on Adaptation to Climate Change, France; Dr. Christiane Kugler, Professor, Institute for Nursing Science, University of Freiburg, Germany; Dr. Tsuyoshi Usagawa, Professor, Kumamoto University, Kumamoto, Japan; Dr. Rex I. F. Li, Founder and Curriculum Director, G.T. College, Hong Kong, China; Dr. Maria Assif, Full Professor, Teaching Stream, University of Toronto, Canada; Dr. Juha Kilponen, Head of Monetary Policy and Research Department, Bank of Finland, Finland; Dr. Paul Druckman, Chairman of the World Benchmarking Alliance, UK; Dr. Dieter Helm, Professor of Economic Policy, University of Oxford, UK, etc.
There were Plenary Forum with 19 parallel sessions in WCET-2024 and 9 parallel sessions in WEFB-2024 that covered main topics in the field. In addition, 12 posters have been presented on-site. The special event of Best Poster Award was held successfully which was selected by voting of all the participants in person. The winner is Dr. Johanna Einfalt, Associate Lecturer in the School of Education, Western Sydney University, Australia. And the poster title is “Reconceptualising how to internationalise-at-home: Using Dialogue to stimulate intercultural capacity within university students”.
During the conference, all participants had in-depth discussions and communications exchanged positive experiences and practices, as well as spurred new ideas and opinions. Conferences such as WCET -2024 and WEFB-2024 are a valuable way to discuss ideas and explore new research and techniques. It also aids in the development of fresh ideas for ongoing research. As a result, more collaboration and network building are encouraged.
In the near future, we have more exciting conferences coming up, for example, WCET-2025 and WEFB-2025 which will take place in Tokyo (Japan) in next summer.
